Springsteen has stated the song was originally recorded for Magic, and partially re-recorded for High Hopes. However, studio footage appears to date the cut from 2008, during sessions for Working On A Dream. Drums, bass and Van Zandt's contribution are all new. Musician credits are Springsteen (vocals, guitar, percussion, organ, mandolin), Roy Bittan (piano), Steve Van Zandt (backing vocals), Max Weinberg (drums), Ron Aniello (bass, guitar) and the aforementioned Sam Bardfeld (violin).
