´´I guess, uh, the two hardest thing to do is leaving home and then going back and….usually when you go back, it´s not there any more the way that it was….so….this is uh….any one of you folks out on your own tonight…..for the first time…..this is uh, this is for you guys…..”

‘‘I remember….my father got married, he was really young, he was in his early twenties …..and the only time he ever got to….travel, go away was when he went to World War II ….when I was young, it was, it was always hard to understand why…. why we couldn’t get along or why he always seemed so angry….it was impossible to ….to….it wasn’t till I got to be about 28 or 29 and I looked back….and tried to see…. understand the way he’d lived his life….and tried to understand the disappointments that he had to face….he dropped out of high school, he was really young….and every place he went….they used to tell him he was only good for one thing….”
