´´I said hey (crowd: ´Hey´)…I wanna say that I´m so glad to be here in Barcelona tonight ….I´m so glad to be here in your beautiful city, Barcelona….I want you to know that we´re not here for a casual visit….we´re here tonight with a purpose….we´re not here for a vacation at your lovely seaside community….we´ve been on a long journey (?)….(lists the miles and the towns he´s been) Barcelona….and I know….you´re feeling downhearted, I know…you´re feeling disgusted, I know….you´re feeling,feeling,feeling discombobolated, distressed, dispossessed (?) worried about the Y2K-problem, mortality is rearing its ugly head, I know the Good Book says ´Oh-oh, Louie, Louie, we´ve all got to go´ and I want to tell you that I, I, I, I, I, I (?) tonight to re-educate you, to reanimate you, to resuscitate you, to rededicate you to the power, the magic, the mystery….the ministry of rock and roll !….and I want to tell you that I cannot promise you life everlasting but I can….promise you life…..right now ! ….and all you’ve got to do is say ´I´ ….´´

´´Thank you….I wanna thank everybody for coming down tonight while we got our legs underneath us tonight for the first time, uh….this is a special night for, uh, for us, these first few nights, we haven´t played together in a long time…..this is a….rededication of our band and the re-birth of our band and we´re here to serve you so…..so, uh, let me see if I can say that, uh, uh (says the same thing in Spanish)….gonna leave you tonight (?) rebirth of our band with a new song, this is called ´Land of Hope and Dreams´….´´
