“Alright, we’re gonna try one more crazy request here…we may not get through the middle of this because, uh…it gets tricky but, uh, this is Thundercrack (crowd cheers) for a bankrupt fan!…he came to too many E Street Band shows…so we gotta do this one for him, this was, this song was written in, like, 1973 or 4, it was written to be our first show-stopper, this used to end our set when we used to come out and play for crowds who didn’t know us at all…we used to, we opened up for Black Oak Arkansas and…you act like “Who?” (chuckles) Sha Na Na, uh…opened up for Mountain, I think we opened up for Aerosmith one time and, uh…so this was our show-closer when, when nobody knew who were so…we’ll see how we do, alright…oh, we opened up for Cheech and Chong! (chuckles) here we go…”

“Alright, this is a song, uh, we might have played it once or twice but, uh…there is fans that, that’ve been following us since the beginning of European tour (crowd cheers) they’re here every night and they provide a tremendous amount of fuel and inspiration for our band ‘cause I know what it takes just to make it from city to city, I know what the queuing is like, I know how hard it is to get up front here and what you guys (crowd cheers) so…anyway, tonight this is for Annie and her guy, alright (chuckles)…this is their request…”
