Intro to “Spirit in the Night”
“Take that off…take that off…does anybody believe in ghosts? (crowd cheers)…ghosts…I don’t know…I don’t know if I believe in ghosts…but I believe in spirits (crowd cheers) spirits are everywhere…in everything…you can feel ‘em in old cars, old guitars …old people…you can feel ‘em in little babies…you can feel ‘em on certain streets, you can feel ‘em in certain houses…you can feel ‘em on stage…I was in Australia – take it down, boys…and, uh, I was in this very fancy hotel room…I’ve stayed in a few of them but I seen something in this hotel room I’ve never seen before in my life…and, uh, I got up in the middle of the night and I had to take a leak so I went into the bathroom and, uh…there was some sort of technological magic when you approach the john, the seat would automatically lift itself up for you (laughs from the crowd) that is so sad…that is one of the saddest commentaries on modern life I’ve, I’ve run into in 65 fucking years (crowd cheers) bring it down… that’s right, somebody is assuming, somebody is assuming that you’ve got so much fucking money you can’t lift up your fucking whole toilet seat (crowd cheers)(chuckles) that’s how, that’s how weak you’ve gotten…that’s so sad…so every time I’d come in, it would just go…Charlie (Charlie makes an eerie sound on the organ) to greet me…that wasn’t the worst part…’cause now spirits manifest themselves in strange places…uh…airports…uh, luncheonettes…uh …so I looked down into the john, it was late and I’d had a few Tequilas before I went to bed but suddenly I heard…can you feel the spirit? (crowd cheers) can you feel the spirit now? (crowd cheers) can you feel the spirit?…can you feel the spirit now?…I know this is a strange story to tell in Cincinnati when you haven’t been here for six fucking years (crowd cheers) but…I’m telling you… we don’t choose where the spirit manifests itself to us (chuckles)… we don’t choose where that’s gonna happen…so if you can feel the spirit, I want you to answer me tonight with a mighty “Yeah, yeah” …can you feel the spirit? (crowd and band: “Yeah, yeah!”) can you feel the spirit now? (crowd and band: “Yeah, yeah!”) can you feel the spirit? (crowd and band: “Yeah, yeah!”) can you feel the spirit now? (crowd and band: “Yeah, yeah!”)…

Intro to “Wrecking Ball”
“Anybody from New Jersey here? (crowd cheers) no way!…that’s impossible!…”

Intro to “Lost in the Flood”
“Alright…something got left out (chuckles)(?)…”

Intro to “Growin’ Up”
“For the birthday boy! (crowd cheers)…(piano intro starts) the first thing you do before you write a decent song…before you…pick up a guitar…before you play your first gig…you lay in bed at night…and you dream yourself up (crowd cheers) everything you weren't in the day…as we stand united, all rock musicians…in the great faith of self-loathing (chuckles) and self-hatred (chuckles) “I hate my nose! I hate my hair!”…so the first thing you do is…you dream yourself… to life (crowd cheers)…”
[The song was requested by a sign that read “Growin’ Up for my birthday.”]

Middle of “Growin’ Up”
“Birthday boy…come on down (crowd cheers)…come on, man… (crowd cheers)…here we go…(the fan who requested the song sings with Bruce on the last verse and then dives into the pit)…happy birthday! (crowd cheers)…”

Intro to “Shout”

(crowd: “No!”) E-flat!…all I wanna know…all I wanna know…all I wanna know – to the sixth…do you feel alright now? (crowd cheers) to the one – all I wanna know…all I wanna know…all I wanna know is if you feel alright now…I want you to raise your hand now…come on and raise…your hand now…”

Middle of “Shout”
