Challenger Eastern Surfboards, Wanamassa, NJ

"Challenger Eastern Surfboards", located at 1109 9th Avenue, Neptune, New Jersey, was burned to the ground on April 26, 1968, in less than a half-hour, because of the highly flamable chemicals and compounds used to construct surfboards. However, the operation was quickly back up and running in a few months, now at Route 35 & Sylvania Avenue, Wanamassa, New Jersey, where it would remain until early 1970, when it would move again.
