Robert 'Gus' Giordano, John Rassias and Demetra Papas opened the original Sir Morgan's Cove in September 1969 at 139 Green St. Still referred to as Sir Morgan's Cove, or just The Cove, the club was renamed the Lucky Dog Music Hall in 1999, before being renamed to The Cove Music Hall in 2015. The Cove had a reputation as a gritty rock club. On Sunday December 16, 2018 Sir Morgans Cove closed it doors.
