SECU Arena (Formely Tiger Arena), a 5,200-plus seat multi-use arena facility complete with state-of-the-art video screens, entertainment suites/boxes, and expanded lobbies. Towson University will have this new arena with the added benefit of preserving the Towson Center and keeping it operational in a redeveloped form for a basketball/volleyball practice facility, gymnastics facility and newly developed areas for sports medicine, strength & conditioning and a comprehensive academic and life skills area. Moreover, classes and events can continue in the old arena while Tiger Arena is being developed. Construction has begun and will be complete as early as May 2013.
